CLIENTS AT WORK #1
(#1 in a series of photos celebrating performers who will soon be hitting the road for summer fringe festivals)

David Jacobson hard at work at The High Dive, mapping out possible plot structures for his epic microbiota adventure DOGS' MISERY SWAMP. He's headed to the Calgary Fringe in August, but you can catch him soon at Tell ItOn Tuesday May 30. Brilliant mind, big heart!

Angela Neff was the first person to hire me as director...I am so grateful to her for launching me into the most rewarding work I could ever dream of. Now, seven years later, she is remounting PICNICS AT THE ASYLUM for a summer tour to Regina, Winnipeg, Saskatoon, and Edmonton. Watch out, Canada, because Angela is performing with more sensitivity, dynamics, and assured ease than ever before. And that's saying a lot!

Here's Howard Petrick at an editing session in my office at The Marsh SF. In his third solo show THE FIGHT FOR 52¢ he portrays union leader Ray Dunne. It's a timely piece, addressing income inequality and the need to fight for all workers' rights regardless of their class or ideology. It's also a great way to spend an hour with a character who is funny and wise. Howard is headed to the Chicago and Indianapolis fringes, but you can catch him locally at Solo Sundays on May 7. https://www.facebook.com/solosundays/
